A sculptural floor lamp by Underbug and Noord see Lights, combining 3D-printed ceramic made from Dutch clay with light elements made from plant-based material and finely ground oyster shells from restaurant waste streams.

Inspired by the North Sea coastline, the lamp translates natural processes into a sculptural light object. Just as wind, water and sediment shape the coast layer by layer, the floor lamp is built through a layered 3D-printing process. atahe light is warm and can be dimmed with a rotary knob for a soft glow.

    Underbug en Noord see Lights delen een fascinatie voor 3D-printen als maakproces. In deze samenwerking ontmoeten de twee materiaalwerelden elkaar.

  • Gelaagdheid van de zee

    Laag voor laag mimiekt het 3D-printproces de natuurlijke vorming van de kust. Zo ontstaat een vormtaal die verwijst naar sediment, schelpen en de langzame opbouw van het landschap.

    Coastline in Formation combineert 3D-geprint keramiek van Nederlandse klei met plantaardige lichtelementen van fijngemalen oesterschelpen uit restaurantreststromen.

  • Licht in beweging 

    Met een draaiknop kan het licht geleidelijk worden gedimd, van helder licht naar een zachte warme gloed.
