De Elandsgracht

In collaboration with Fantastic Frank, we had the opportunity to illuminate a home in Amsterdam West. This project once again demonstrated the transformative power of well-chosen lighting. By carefully balancing color, shape, and placement, the house gained a warm, refined atmosphere, with lighting becoming a defining element of the interior. The fixtures connect the different spaces and give the home a calm, welcoming character.

From House to Dream Home

Where the rooms initially felt somewhat impersonal and empty, our lighting completely transformed the home. It now brings warmth, character, and depth — exactly that extra dimension that turns a house into a home.

Color, Form & Bold Choices

For this project, we intentionally chose two different lamp colors within the same palette. This subtle contrast creates both calm and tension. The green lamp acts as a sculptural object, even when it’s switched off, seamlessly tying in with the green tones of the room. The red Wulk is discreetly integrated into a cabinet, serving as a decorative piece during the day and as soft ambient lighting at night.

Choosing the Right Size

Selecting the right lamp size is just as important as color and form. Too small, and a lamp disappears into the background; too large, and it dominates the room. By striking the right balance, harmony emerges — as it did in this project. The lamps are large enough to transform the space, yet leave enough air and openness so the interior doesn’t feel overwhelmed.

We’re proud that our lighting contributed to the complete transformation of this home — a house that is now not only functional but also radiates understated elegance, where light, color, and form converge into one cohesive whole and every room truly comes to life.
